Day 4- Florence
Today is Sunday and this morning a couple girls and I went to the Duomo for church. As I said in the last blog, the Duomo is a massive Catholic church. The mass was spoken in Italian and it was absolutely beautiful in the church. There are four alters off of the main alter in the center of the church. After mass we went and got a coffee and pastry for breakfast. In Italy, there is not a bacon and egg breakfast. Everything is pastry and coffee. After breakfast we as a class decided to have a class today which would give us a day to explore later. Usually we wouldn't have class on Sunday, but we all decided to have a day off later instead. After class I went to my apartment to relax and I read my book. I ended up falling asleep until about ten to seven. My roommates and I went to the other girls apartment to have dinner. We all decided that we will cook for eachother a couple nights to save money. Everything is really expensive here, so advice for future Florence students-by food from markets here and cook for eachother instead of eating out every night which gets a little pricey. After that, we all went for a stroll around town and took goofy pictures of eachother infront of the windows of shops. I will be posting some of my pictures as their own blog so be looking for them. Now it is time for bed. Good Night!
